Yes, I've had that happen due to a bad bulb, and also because of a bad connection to the gear indicator switch in the tranny.
Code 54
Has anyone ever really figured out the code 54 .....ENGINE TEMP LAMP code ? Is this possibly about replacing a burnt out light bulb ?

Thanks Jerry ! The '07 has the panel readout integrated with the speedometer and after double checking I see no way to access the inards but I will check the gear switch. It is really odd that the gear switch would trip an engine temp code but then I remember it is a Polaris.Yes, I've had that happen due to a bad bulb, and also because of a bad connection to the gear indicator switch in the tranny.
I forgot yours was an '07. My '06 didn't have an instrument cluster, so accessing the indicator bulbs was pretty simple.
