What are the latest opinions on the 2015 Ranger 900 Crew without EPS? Any problems ? What has been the best base price excluding the windshield, doors and roof? Has anyone used the accessories from a company called Fortress ATV as they offer what appears to be well made after market windshield, roof and doors?

I've got a crew without power steering. Kinda wish I had it but it isn't hard to drive. I bought mine at Hoffpauir in Goldwaithe Tx.
Cheapest price I could find. Love it.
Thanks.. I notice you do not have doors. I am questioning whether doors are necessary as they seem like they would just get in the way as I use my current UTV to feed my cows and it is handy to just be able to pour feed out. Do you regret not getting door. I assume yours is a 2015. Did they give you any incentives other than the extended warranty that they are offering? If you do not mind, what did they quote you as a base price? I spoke to them and they added about $600 for shipping, dealer prep , special dealer tax ,( not sales tax) licenses etc which is ridiculous. I do not have to pay sales tax because I use it as a farm vehicle but their quote seemed hig as just a base price. Did you get all polaris accessories ie roof, windshield etc? Thanks

I just bought a 2015 900 Crew and really like it. It's the first ranger I've had and I would highly recommend spending the extra money and get the ESP. It is not the sharpest turning machine but I think the ESP makes it a lot better than it could be without it IMO. I got the dealer to take off the transportation fees and assembly fees which I believe should be covered under the MSRP. Not sure if I got a great deal or not. Hard to say how much each dealer will come off their price.

i don't have doors. If I was in a cold climate it would be different but my Ranger is mostly for cruising with the grandkids and hunting. A little bit of work around the house. It is a 2015-no incentives. A friend of mine bought a 2014 900 crew tax exempt in Bryan. He did get a discount because at the time Polaris had incentitves on his model. Did you talk to Michael at Hoffpauir? I think my drive out was $14100 before tax and accessories. I did buy the plastic roof and windshield but paid for that separate.i should have bought power steering. It isn't hard to steer but when working or pulling a trailer I think it would help. I didnt buy extended warranty either. If I break it, I'll fix it.
As others have said, the power steering is worth the extra cost especially on a crew! Kinda like wearing new Levis with no skivvies, it's doable, but by the end of the day, you're going to be a tad uncomfortable. I have yet to read where anyone has regretted getting the PS option!
No going "commando" for me. I do wish I had purchased power steering though. Maybe will install as a kit.
Mark you asked if the dealer offered any incentives and mention extended warranty. I see the website mentions extended service contract. Did they offer you warranty or service?
I bought my 2015 Crew EPS White Lightening last month. I would really recommend the EPS... you won't be sorry and the wife loves driving it as well.... now that may or may not be good depending on your situation - but it helps me with budgeting for mods :wink-new:. Anyway, I love the Crew. The rear engine is awesome... much quieter than my 2010 800 XP/LE, and much more power. I have about 185 miles on it so far, and love it. If price is an issue, and you are a Costco member, I highly recommend you check out the Costco Powersports program - Polaris has signed on with it and the prices are really good and you get 15% discount at the dealership for accessories and such. The only accessories I have so far are Dragonfire half doors, a Polaris Poly Roof, and Polaris Half Windshield. Can't help you with the other brand you asked about. Good luck. Bill
I forgot to add that I paid $17,100 out the door for my 2015 900 crew with EPS. I then added a few accessories on top of that. I put some money down and then financed the rest through Polaris. Their rates were good and they would finance the Crew with some accessories where as my Federal Credit Union would finance any included accessories.
