I was wondering where you guys are getting your control arm bushing kits. My rear ones are pretty bad and I priced them up at the dealer and it is going to work out to over 200 dollars because they don't sell a complete kit and have to peace it together. My worst ones are at the end of the arm at the hub. Any help would be appreciated, thanks. I have a 2013 500 mid size

If I remeber correctly, WagZ mentioned an aftermarket brand he has had good luck with as well - maybe SuperDaves?

Thanks guys I will check them both out and see what they cost to send up my way. Drilling and installing grease nipple looks like a great idea as well.

Super Daves bushings. Just installed them on xp 900, but have not been able to run it through any water yet. Should be able to report on them in the coming weeks. Everything I have read on here has been really good.

I decided to try All balls control arm bushing kits for this time. There price was pretty good and they are easy to order from. Thanks for the replies. I will let people know how I found the install when I get them and possibly how I find them to last. There's almost enough snow gone in the trails to be able to get through them lol...

when ya wear those out, buy superdaves.. alot of hardcore riders and racers got them.. you cant beat em from what ive read. Some of the admins here have a PILE of miles on them. i read for MONTHS about them before i spent 310 bucks (to do entire machine...front and back..) for my midsize. Good luck folks. keep us posted.

When these new bushings wear out I will definitely upgrade to better ones like most of you guys mentioned. Those Super daves sounds like pretty good ones. This is my first set changing out on my Ranger with around 2400 miles on it now. I'm hoping to get a good season out of them at least. Thanks again guys.

They were prolly junk WAY before that. lol the factory ones SUUCCKKK!! the design of them is really really poor. i put fittings in my outter hubs a while back, it helps keep crap out, but doesnt make em last longer. THe problem is in teh design of factory bushings. They're the tightest out at the very outter end..and thats it. They taper to a larger diamber towards the inside. So ya get like 1mm of support, and the rest is just space for junk to hang out and beat up the bushing. I know ya just fixed it, and it'll be ok for a bit so save your dollar bills man! Trust me, Tis worth it! haha.

You are right the bushings were pretty bad last year mustangwagz. I will make sure that next time I step up the quality of the bushings I buy. It's too bad there design is so poor.

its like everything else now a days..build it cheap and in bulk..you'll sell more and make more..and the consumer will get a raw butt from it. lol They win, we loose... basic politics. lol bahahhaaaaaa!! Only problem i see would be shipping to NS...it might be more than it was for me. 310 shipped to my door...yours might be 330..

When I priced ordering my bushings through the Internet to my door for some reason it was actually cheaper to just have the dealer get them instead lol. For one side they were 32.00 add the taxes duty and shipping add anougher 40 dollars. I got both sides at the dealer taxes in for 92 dollars. I think I would be lucky to get the super daves bushings for 330 lol. I hear what you are saying with the politics...

I don't know but the vendor only makes what the customer specs. If the bushing design is as bad as you guys say (having not actually seeing 1), then someone @ Polaris needs to go back to the drawing board/CAD screen to design a proper bushing.

I'm hoping to get better life out of the aftermarket bushings revrnd. It wouldn't hurt to have better quality bushings from factory that's for sure.

I got my control arm bushings changed over and things are looking good in that department then I could feel a lot of roughness in both rear bearings so I started tearing it apart and one of the bearing races has welded it's self to the hub. I sure hope they are not too expensive. I had already bought all balls rear wheel bearings to replace them I was planning on waiting a while but not the way they felt today!!

if I recall new hubs are around $75, wheel bearings around $35.

Just did a front end for a guy that needed all 4 ball joints,, all lower bushings/bolts/sleeves. two new hubs, two new wheel bearings, one new bearing carrier, and new bumpstops..... he dropped it off because of the broken front spring.lol

Look at the bushings that SNMOBL is using in this thread "waterproofing the 800 ranger" think it's in the full size section or in the technical section. I think that's the kind I'll use next. looks like a much more durable material.

Looks like you had your hands full with that Ranger POS polaris. The price on the hub doesn't seem too bad thank god for that. I'm going to see if I can still separate the race off the hub but I'm 99 percent sure that the hub will be no good were the new bearing race rides. Thanks for letting me know roughly how much a hub costs.

split the race, knock it off if ya can and then sand/buff the surface. If it aint gaulded on there to bad, id say run it. Maybe put some bearing retainer on the inside as well. but if its JuNk....yah cant get around that. haha.
