Coolant Temp

I have a 2015 hunter edition 900 xp that I had a heater installed in with full cab. I was wondering if anyone had one like it and how fast the temp comes up. Mine acts like it doesn't even have a thermostat. With the temps like they have been in the 30s it will usually only get up to about 160 and a lot of times if I run it down the road the temp will decrease once air gets moving through radiator. Is this normal?

One of the best things that you can do is install a thermostat bypass with a shut off valve.
This will allow it to heat up quicker.

What brand of heater and doors did you install?

I have the Polaris heater that dealer installed. Also have the hard plastic doors with fold out windows. Fold out windshield and glass back glass.
It just seems to me the temp should be more consistent instead of fluctuating like it does.
Your unit should maintain apprx 190/210 degrees, if it is around 160, you may have a problem. I wonder if your dealer has done something wrong?
Also, if you do purchase a Thermostat Bypass, make sure it has a 1/2 or 5/8 hose barb. The fittings on the Polaris heater are 1/2, and it is easy to find a 5/8 to 1/2 reducer. But if you get a bypass with a 3/4 barb, reducing it down will give you some extra splices in the line.

Note: your doors came with a cab seal kit, did your dealer install it. The reason I ask is, I have heard of someone getting doors installed and the dealer didn't mention that it comes with a seal kit for the cab.
