When you guys brained were being picked by the Polaris folks, did anyone ask about what is going on with the Belts on the 07s [?]

From what I understand, it is not a belt problem, it is a motor mount problem and yes, I believe they are aware of it. One of the guys will have to respond to this, because my memory doesn't work all that well! I could be totaly wrong.

I did hear that the motor mounts are different now and when you order one, it is a different part number. I missed if anything was said about the belts.

Is this a problem for both 500's and 700's or just a problem with one type of engine?

As far as I know the problem was just with the 700 XP, but I would think also the 700cc 6x6. The original front mount (this is from memory) on the 700's was outsourced, no big surprise here, and they were either not built to spec. or were a bad design. The new mounts being sold today are supposed to be OK to withstand the torque of the 700.

Doesn't sound like an official admission of fault... Any one have anything written on that claim of a bad batch of motor mounts? Sounds like the old two step to me! I keep reading from others that the belts are still failing. At the very least, you would think they would offer their customers a new motor mount, but then again, that would be an admission of fault.

What is sad about this situation, is that a person can no longer trust the company to do the right thing by their product.

Its a concern of mind that we are living in a society that when you buy something from a dealership its yours and if something goes wrong thats tuff. I will have to say i have a good dealer that will stand behind the product.
