Made a big decision today, after reading the first few posts on the problems that are starting to come in on the first batch of RZR's (clutch, 4wd, water, seat belts etc...). Cancelled my RZR sorry to say, getting a RHINO later tonight. Don't mean to ruffle feathers, but it looks like more of the same reliability probs that Polaris is known for. Looks like fun to be sure, but reliability comes first. I'll wait 2-3 yrs and see what other sporty models are out by then, then trade the Rhino. BTW was getting the second unit from my dealer. just can't take a chance on a first year unit with problems trickling in already. Good luck to all who are getting theirs in (RZR's). No hard feelings.

Kevin, sorry to hear that. Good luck with your "different" machine. That was a hasty decision but it is entirely up to you to choose what will make you happy. There really has only been 2 out of how many that had problems. Any machine will have a few problems but if you will notice, Polaris is stepping up and fixing them pronto. Oh well, good luck anyway and we'll be sure to wave as we pass you by if we see you!! LOL!! Just kidding, no hard feelings here.

kb_poporzr,
I just got my RZR yesterday and this thing is not even comparable to a rh--- for fun. I've had Polaris products for years and spend much less money on repairs for them than I do on my Yamaha and Honda products. If something does break, I just fix it and go out and have a lot of fun for another couple of years before something else breaks. Good luck with the Rh--- and I'll see you in my dust.

Guys, let's not forget the reason the RZR exists is that the Rhino bascially created the market that the RZR is targeting. I owned a Rhino, and would again tomorrow. They are great machines and I am very thankful Yamaha came up with the concept. No reason to bash the guy for playing it safe. It's like bashing a guy who invests in a lower interest rate bearing investment. The reward is possibly lower, but so is the risk. For us who have bought the RZR, we seem to be getting the reward, but if the problems turn out to be widespread, it could be a bad investment! That said, there were issues with the Rhino when it came out, and there are still areas of concern, but luckily the aftermarket has had time to address many of those issues, and Yamaha has changed components and design every year to address those issues. I really dislike the fact that some Rhino owners are praying for the RZR to bascially explode as owners back them off the trailer, and I equally dislike that some RZR owners want to tell anyone who is considering a Rhino that he/she is a loser for doing so (and probably thinks anyone who has not dumped their Rhino the day the RZR was announced is an idiot). I can tell you I have had my RZR for 24 hours and have already found 4 issues (all minor, but signs of hasty or careless assembly), and one issue that will require adjustment (the tippy throttle). Still I am very happy with it, but I can recall the same excitement when I took delivery of the Rhino in early 2004.

My RZR seems to be doing fine... better than fine....this thing is fun as hell. I've been taking it easy as to follow the break-in procedure as best as possible. Not to say that not following the break-in procedure has caused any of the known problems. See you on the trail...when I stop and you catch up.[:D]
