Looking into changing my filter assembly out to a donaldson round filter assembly. What is the cfm requirements for the xp 900 engine. The Donaldson filters assembly uses two filters and primary and a safety filter. They use them on skid steers and a lot of other heavy equipment. To me it would be the cats meow if I could get it set up right or find the right filter assembly that I could make work. Might have to mount it back words sense the outlet is on the back of the assembly, and might have to mount lid towards the seat. But heck if it will work it would be 10 times better of a filter set up then whats on them now. Sense mine tends to leak some.

Thoughts or suggestions would be great.
CFM Requirements for the engine would be great.

Great idea!

I've got 1500+ hours on my commercial mower and the safety filter still looks brand new.

Don't see why one couldn't be rigged up for the ranger.

Are you talking about the air filter? If sealed right the stock air filter is great. I've had really bad experiences from running uni and k&n filters on my 800 ranger.

Mine air box leaked dirt around filter. Might have been might fault or could have been doing it from the beginning, don't know for sure. Mines out in my shop with a ton of oil in the big black box behind the throttle body. Intake Manifold maybe. Not sure what you would call it. Looks like muddy water right now. but with out the water. Probably going to the dealer soon. :apologetic:
