Duraclutch Issues... Advice?

So 2 months a go I ordered an installed duraclutch for my Ranger so it's still under warranty. Duraclutch has already sent me a new primary clutch which helped a little but issues are still there. Biggest problem is unit wants to stall while coming to a stop or stopping while going downhill. Also gets worse when engine is warm, the other issue is that the engine braking can be really harsh when just going down moderate to very little incline. If you touch the gas just barely it will throw you through the windshield and will become really jumpy and jerky +yes I keep it in high) The did not send a replacement secondary which I think I'm going to have them send to hopefully help. My stock EBS was much better far as traveling down an not being so jumpy btw I have a 16 Midsize Hunter edition 570. Other than stalling an being jerky/jumpy it drives better especially traveling up hill or pulling a load. Any guesses on why it's still stalling? Duraclutch believed it was the primary which obviously it wasn't. I'm guessing issue is within the secondary. Hopefully I can get it straightened out sucks to spend that kinda money an start having problems. I've sold several duraclutch set ups to numerous amount of different customers an never seen this before. Appreciate any feedback an replies. Hope all is well

I've learned that my Duraclutch is jerky when everything is cold. The engine seems to be more likely to vary in RPM before it's warmed up and the belt is stiffer so it doesn't "shift' up or down the sheaves as smoothly as when warm. After everything is up to operating temperature those symptoms disappear.

This may not answer your question or even apply to your situation, I just thought I'd toss it out there. Sorry I can't be of more definite assistance.

SVI has a good reputation for standing behind their products which is part of the reason I got the Duraclutch to begin with and why I gambled on their Traction Control system. I feel pretty certain they will work with you to sort the problem out.

Being that I'm a duraclutch dealer I purchased it from them, or I always deal with Stephanie. Dang, so Todd you think I was sent 2 bad primary's? After I installed the most recent one they sent me I figured issue had to be in the secondary. Being that I'm 4-5k in elevation I even tried the level one weights which I felt help overall performance an target upshift rpm dramatically. An before you ask I followed instructions an tossed the OEM flat washer as well as the lock washer. Todd do you think it could be possible that I was sent the wrong belt? I know the guys at duraclutch will make it right just wanted to see if anyone else has had this issue before. It's just my luck that out of all the kits I've sold mine would be the one that would have problems....smh. appreciate the replies

To tight or wide of belt could certainly cause those symptoms on stock clutching. Worth a double check.

Try a stock belt, I use my 570 belt on my 570 duraclutch and have never had problems. In fact I find my gear selector shifts easier and my machine operates smoother on a oem belt in the DC

That's what I was thinking about trying, are you using 3211169 or 3211149? If my memory serves me correctly the 570 DC kits I've ordered in the past came with Polaris belt mine however came with the DC belt.

I emailed Stephane Eckes about having a #3211148 belt and if it would work for my duraclutch. She said duraclutch recommends a #3211149 width and thickness. But I could use the #3211148 with no issues. A new #3211149 was $180. + shipping.

This is what my first dc was doing.I was working with Tim(one of the engineers) over at dc.I believe it had something to do with the washer on the bolt that holds the clutch on.I think it was pushing in on the outer clutch sheave, not releasing the clutch pack.I really don't remember. Great bunch over at dk. After getting it fixed it is the best clutch you can buy.1400 miles later and still going strong and on the same belt.:encouragement:

So apparently they found the issue with the primary, the weights were not "shaved" an there as a washer inside the clutch that wasn't suppose to be in there. I just installed the new primary yesterday an haven't tested it yet. Also I ask them to send a new belt. The belt that was sent is different from the one I received originally, the new one has much bigger ridges on the inside part of the belt. I believe last 2 numbers on the original was 24 an the new one is 25. I am sure that could of also been part of the issue as well. I'll update after I do some riding.
