Hello
I have a problem, too much dust in cab. I have a windshield & lexan over the back of the roll bar. When driving the dust comes through the door area of the cab. I do have the vent kit for the windshield and that helped a little but still need more idea's to stop the dust.
hope you can help

Randy,
The only solution is more air in through the front, and block off any from behind. I know this is simple minded but it's the only answer. We've been trying to deal with this for years now, but can't really come up with anything due to the vacume the windshield creates. One thing that will help some is blocking off the area between the cab and dump bed, a lot of dust comes up in between.
Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Randy, I had a customer that had on a full windshield , and complained of the dust swirling inside the cab. Drilled 4 two inch holes at the top of the windshield, that pretty much eliminated the problem. Good Luck Dale!

Dirty Dale is it really that simple? Just drill 4, 2" holes in the top of the windshield. Are the any vents that you can add on? What type of spacing between the holes? Should it be two holes on either side of the mirror or should they be more on either side of the cab?

my '07 has no windshield or back glass. The dust is horrible and collects in the bed and cab, and is the main reason that I am so high on putting filters on all of my vent lines.

I have wondered, but never experimented with, whether some sort of spoiler attached to the tailgate or under the bed, would eliminate or deflect the vortex that brings all that dust in.

any ideas....?? anyone tried this..??

A spoiler on the rear part of the cage would probably work better. Sort of a wing angled down toward the box, to create a positive pressure to break the suction. Sort of the same idea as venting a windshield.

1 Rhino and 4 Rangers and dust is almost impossible to stop. I take out my windshield and pop my doors off in the dusty months. Pretty good cure. All Side by sides have this problem due to the vortex that is created at the base of the windshield.
I'm thinking a pop up sunroof will be a big help. Anyone have any experience in sunroofs?

Dust Issues

I had Tony at atvguardshop make me a aluminum piece that goes behind my rear seat. He cut it perfectly so that the air filter is still open. It has helped a lot on the dust in my cab.

He can color it black and it looks really good. It works along the same principal as mtimesplitter167 rubber pieces.

Let me know and I will be glad to get you in contact with Tony.
