ENGINE RUNNING TOO LEAN

I have an 05 ranger 700 that is melting all of the plastics in front of the motor. I did a search and found a few people that have heat problems but this seems much more severe. I just finished checking the plugs and they are bright white-looks too lean. I dont have any engine, exaust or intake mods-all stock. The wrench light is not on or flashing (only on with key on engine off). Is there a way to check for diag codes on an 05? Any input would be great. Also, if anyone knows of a link to a pdf service manual that would be fantastic.

Thanks for the quick response. I got the 6-1 so there arent any codes stored. I think I may have a fuel pressure problem, but my pressure gauge is at home (the ranger stays at the cabin). The heat has been getting progressively worse, so Im thinking that it may be a clogged fuel filter-the pump sounds pretty stong. We wont be back at the cabin for at least a few weeks but I will let you know what I find. Thanks again!
