Has anyone ever checked into who builds the engine for the Ranger's?
I was told by a parts dealer that some of them are Polaris, and some are made by Robin / Subaru.
Is this true, or was this a misguided parts man?
It depends on the engine. I think the TM, which has been discontinued, had the air cooled Robyn engine. But, the 500 is built by Fuji Heavy Industries, the same folks that build the Subaru engines. They are rock solid reliable. The 700 and 800 "Liberty" engines are made by Polaris.
Thanks for responding. They tell me mine is a Subaru engine, and apparently it is.
Fuji, didn't they make film for camera's. jja
Thanks again!
