Finally got the ranger down to Cowboys Polaris in Beaumont Texas, for the error codes 520267 and 520268. As many have stated it was a wiring harness issue. They said that 2 wiring harness have pulled apart and it will cost me $325. They said that there wasn't a recall or bulletin for my ven number. So that it would not do any good to contact polaris because im out of warrenty. Im very disappointed in polaris and my dealer. i only have 52 hours on the machine. I guess you live and learn.

I would find another dealer. I know that is easier said than done, but I drive an extra 2hrs to go to a Polaris dealer I would rather do buisness with. The one with in a hour of me is known for never fixing anything under warranty and their parts are priced higher than MSRP. (can't figure that one out)

Yes, I drive 3hrs to go to a dealership that actual knows what they are doing.
Also it was suggested in another post to have my dealer look up look up R-10-02 and R-11-01. They told me that my ven # only came up with the R-11-01. Which is the rerouting of some wires. Not sure if the R-10-02 is related to these wireing harness and is it specific to a ven#. It chaps my hide to know that so many people have got this issue fixed out side of warrenty and Im being told that there is nothing they can do.
I bought my 2012 ranger at cowboy and have had warranty work done 3times but not by them. I drive an extra 25 minute to Outpost Polaris and they do me a great job!!! Every time I call Cowboy they say it will be 2-3weeks before they can look at it. I also bought the polarisstar 5 year warranty and am glad I did! It covers alot!!!
Im guessing that it would take a little effort on there part to try and get Polaris to pay for it. Hate to see them put forth a little work to help there customers. This will be my last dealings with them. Genes Polaris is actually closer to me, I went to Beaumont to save some money. But it appears that I will spending money saved on repairs that should have been re-calls.

Hello, I am a Polaris technician. I have solved the problem of code 520268 broken cables
First off, what year is your machine. If its past its warranty date, thats on you for not getting an extended warranty. just cause you have barely driven it in the warranty time, isnt on Polaris. At that point it is on the dealer, and if the good will it that comes out of the dealerships money, not polaris. Also polaris warranty id a pain in the ass. lots of times it requires multiple pictures and multiple techs to verify the fault. That is a loss, specially for a busy dealership, specially if the dealership has multiple brands like mine. PM your vin and I can look and see if it has andy recalls that cover it. Though i dont know of any off the top of my head. $100 of that estimate if the pigtail for the IAC.

Most likely a harness issue.

Otbpowersports.com for replacement pigtails.
