Saw this on a video about adding 5oz of demand drive without accessing the PITA
fill hole. Drained out the old from the bottom and got 4.5 oz drained thru a screen coffee filter to see any crap that may come out. Really clean result. Only a tiny dab on the magnet.
I made a fill receptacle from a juice bottle and the pointed fill top on the oil bottle.
pulled up the front diff vent tube and put the pointed end into the Clean vent tube.
taped it to a tool box to support and keep it vertical added about 5.5 oz of demand and sat back and drank a beer. It take a looong time to do it this way though.

UPDATE…..Way Too long, so I made a squeeze bottle to force the oil down the tube and it worked much, much better looked for leaks anywhere and there were none 👍

Made filling the front diff simple and easy with out having the pita issue of using the fill plug.

I started using Amsoil's product for this a few years ago.. It comes in a "bag" made of some kind of strong plastic with a spout that screws on the end. Filling is easy even with the somewhat difficult to access fill plug plus no dirt can fall in while filling and I can get every last drop of lube out of the container. Usually when I empty a container I open a new one and squeegee the remaining contents of the old bag into the new container with my fingers.

I saw those amsoil bags when I was at the local NAPA store. Nice idea. I bought a direct drive qt before so I decided to try and improvise.
It’s a slow process but works.
Oil in a squeezable bottle to force 5oz down the vent tube works 100% better and faster.

When you're forcing it in how is the now pressurized air escaping the gearbox?
I did wonder that myself but I kept an eye out for any leakages and didn’t see any sign of oil. It is going into the diff and I don’t see anything coming out anywhere.
I went for a short ride to see.
I will continue to keep an eye out for any future

No, I mean, how does the fluid get in without any air coming out?

I'm imagining putting a garden hose right against the opening of a two liter coke bottle and trying to fill it. The air inside the bottle has to go somewhere for the fluid to get in.

I have been using the vent hose with a micro funnel in it to fill the front gear case for years. The air periodically chugs back up the funnel and then the DEMAND DRIVE slowly drains down the hose. Takes a while but I prefer it to removing the plug.

The fill plugs on those 700s of yours are so easy to get to, why mess with a funnel set up?

With my 2009 700 crew its a nightmare to change front gear lube. Drain plug no troublesome ez tommmmm, but to fill with top plug is insane , cant hardly get to it . Any steps and ideas ?
Yep same on my 06 500, drain is ez but fill plug sucks.
Find your front diff vent tube pull it up thru the top and fill from it. Just make sure when done you have it re positioned to arch and point down again.
Here’s the simple squeeze bottle I used to insert into the vent line, pre measured and ready for the next change.

BTW I wouldn’t use a lot of squeeze pressure on the bottle, it doesn’t take much

BTW ….. BPS
I figure Once you force all the oil into the diff and none left in the line when you remove the squeeze bottle the air pressure is released back thru the empty vent tube. 👍🤔

I tried the gravity method but after a couple hours I resorted to this method.
Jungleman said he also has used the gravity method with success. 👍
Squeeze is faster just watch for leaks.
i had none.
Here a pic of the gravity method also

I don't have and have never seen a 700, so please forgive my ignorance.

Just out of curiosity, would it be possible to route a remote fill to the original fill plug with a fitting at the fill plug that accepts a hose and another fitting that accepts a cap located under the front hood somewhere? If it was worth the effort to do something like this the vent would do it's job as the fluid was put in the proper fill hole allowing faster fills.

Great idea pyromedic👍
Sounds like it might be a workable idea.
if you can find a correct female threaded replacement for the fill plug with a barbed end to connect a clear hose to permanently attach running up top and a sealing cap to keep it clean.
That would indeed be a great idea.
EZ drain and then a quick refill thru a dedicated Line. The clear hose would let you see oil is at the correct level.
Also would be an idea for the tranny and rear diff too. All run up high and capped.
I bet the three item fill kit by an innovative seller would be very popular to a huge crowd. 🤔 Anyone interested in making oil changes a simple task? 😎
Engine is a no brainer.

I use to work as a service manager at a Polaris dealer and would advise to use the oils that the Polaris engineers recommended , but I would have no problem using this Amsoil powertrain fluid !!
