Here is an area I feel I can help. Legally, the dealer can not make a call on warrantable or not, as they do not provide the warranty, rather Polaris does. So if you ever went to a dealer and they looked at a problem and immediately told you it would not be under warranty, they are technically lying to you. Polaris has to make that call on a case by case basis. More importantly, Polaris can not void the warranty on a failed component unless they can prove the failure was caused by the modification you performed. Therefore, a exhaust change would not allow a dealer to void coverage of a failed electrical component, or bigger tires to void the warranty on an oil leak. That said, larger tires could allow them to reasonably deny coverage on CV joint failure, especially if larger than the 26's offered as an accessory, or if the tires are substansially more aggressively treaded than anything Polaris offers for your model. In any case, if you ever have a dealer or Polaris deny coverage on an item that you really feel was something unrelated to a modification you made, you can request a mediation with an objective third party at no charge to you to present your case for review. In my experience as a BMW/Acura Service Manager in earlier times, mere mention of the law that this protection is outlined under will normally cause the manufactuer to at least consider a "goodwill" claim to be approved, since the time and trouble of preparing a case to present to the mediator can be more costly than the repair. Also, covering it as a "goodwill" legally avoids the manufacturer being liable to cover all repairs of the same item for other consumers as well as any future failures while under warranty for you. Still unless you come in with 29.5 Outlaws on vehicle that looks like it has been used as a submarine, it's not likely a good dealer would make issue of it. Many consumers keep the OEM wheels and tires just for the purpose of bolting them on when it's time to take it into the dealer, just to avoid any chance of problems. I wonder if those dealers wonder why a scratched up dirty ATV/UTV with 2000 miles on it has brand new looking tires with perfect condition/clean wheels on it when it comes in?[
