We don't notice any extra dust in ours when the fan is off. When it is on, it is awesome. Keeps the seat cool, and helps a bunch with the steam from going through water that usually comes up under the dash - sucks it right out.
Hello , well when the 07 xp had the stock cage on , i did not notice the heat problem under the seat , well , now we have the curtis rops cage and the seat get so hot near the belts i cant touch it . what kind of fan are you guys using ?? maybe a part number ???
Larry,
I went to the auto parts store and purchased a Hayden 10 inch electric fan and put it where the pop-out is in front of the engine. I installed a switch on the dash to control the fan. It is blowing air across the engine and helps a great deal to reduce the heat in the cab and from the seat. I think Fire Guy used the same fan.
As for the dust. Most of your dust is coming from behind the cage or from under the dash. I installed a back wall and the RangerWare heat panels. I still get some dust from the sides and thru the windshield if I follow someone.
Thanks Joe , That was my next question , are you guys sucking air in or out ???? It would be nice in the winter to heat the cab , have the fan pull all the hot air out and pump it into the cab , but will be hot in the summer , you guys think sucking air in and across the motor is the best ????
