I am still waiting to receive my RZR but had the opportunity to ride one this past weekend. It was an awesome ride, I was able to handle all ATV trail corners and rough areas with ease, this unit is surely the next generation for trail riding.
After riding dirt and dual sport bikes for many years, I decided a couple of years ago that I was old enough to learn how ride a quad. It was an interesting transition for me - a few early turns that were quite white knuckle ! I got a chance to ride along with some experienced quad riders and realized that all I needed to do was relax and ride it more like a dirt bike - when in doubt, gas it !
That was the secret for me. I'm now probably the fastest and most aggressive rough terrain rider of a small utility quad ("04 Yamaha Wolverine, 350cc ) in So. AZ. I find that 99% if the time (even while in very rough and rocky terrain) I use only 2WD (Warn 424 mod). Even so, I've never had the rubber side up !
Now that I'm old enough to drive a SxS, I hope that my transition to RZR riding will be as rewarding. I'm concerned about not being able to get up on the pegs to shift the unit's balance.
I hope that mine is in the garage by the end of the week !
You will be amazed on how closely the RZR handles like a quad. You can slide it very easily, and like you, I am using 2wd most of the time. Seems to steer much better.

My dealer got the first one that he's keeping as a display unit (I get #2) and I took it out by the shop. I recently drove my cousins Rhino so I was able to compare a bit. I thought the RZR was quicker off the line and faster (but we all knew that ). I liked the seating position and there was room for my 6'4" 270lb body. I thought my right knee was a bit close when I first sat in it (about an inch or two from the dash) but I never noticed it hit the dash. It really didn't look all that small, even when the dealer pulls up a Polaris Ranger behind it.
We went onto a field that had been rotor tilled with a tracker and disc. It was pretty rough and I noticed the bottom scraping quite a bit, which made me think a little more ground clearance would be nice (maybe larger tires). Course this stuff was really rough with 10" or so dirt clods and routs. On the trails I don't think it would be an issue, which is where I'll be riding. We also took on a pretty big dirt mount/hill that was 14 ft high. The RZR can climb good I was a bit hesitant as the incline was 65+ degrees. My dealer was telling me to go for it but I was not ready for all that. We went around where I did climb the side until we found some 3-4 ft dirt piles that hung it up a bit. At one point the right side was like 3 ft higher on a dirt mound and my left shoulder was next to another 3-4 ft dirt mount as I was going up the 10-12 ft hill. I made it up it but there were too many 4 ft dirt mounds too close covered be weeds so we backed her down. I really didn't feel tipsy especially going straight up as you sit low. I'm going to have to convince him to let me use it soon. I'm fired up now, its fun. I've never been into rock crawling but it was kinda like that. It's bound to be a blast on trails.
Gonna take the wife over there friday to see it.
BTW: I've been reading this forum since Feb 16th when the RZR info droped and it has been great info! As my RZR nears I thought I'd join the forum and say hello. []

I went down there to get my first live look at a RZR. I can't say wow, that has been used too often. it was Fantastic Holy cow can't say enough. The dealer even let me take it for a spin. BTW the odo had .1 miles on it in reference to an earlier post. Quick start up (EFI) easy to steer, really easy to steer, comfortable smooth ride, and I even found the gas pedal to have the right mount of tension ( not touchy at all). My 18 year old son said, "Dad, this thing even smells good, like a new car". I have to stop myself now before I get too worked up. Anyways everybody that has one knows what I'm talking about. On the way back into Canada there was a 45' tractor trailer with the word Polaris on the side parked and clearing customs. I didn't have time to stop and look for the driver, but I'll bet there were a few RZRs on it waiting to touch down on Canadian soil. For those of you who haven't driven or even seen one, get ready it will leave you breathless........no joke![][][]
NOW your geting me all worked up can you run 2wd low? and hi?
