I am thinking about getting a Boss plow. Is the V plow alot heaver on the frontend than the straigt plow. Looks like 314# vs. 400# per Boss spec sheet. I have a big Cat end loader with a pusher for the big snows. Just looking to get something for the small snows, to go to my parents 4 miles away. So I dont have to get the Big dog out for the small snows. Any input would be great. pro's & con's as well. Or any other ideas as well. I do want a good plow with hyd. Thanks Neil

You can't go wrong with the Boss Poly. The v plow is just too heavy on the front end especially if you have access to a front end loader. I love my Boss plow...super easy install and very easy to hook and unhook. I would not pay the extra money for the smart hitch 2 option. It takes 1 hand to raise the tower up.

Thanks Sam for the reply. thats what I was woundering about.
No problem Neil...anytime:encouragement:
I have the boss v-plow and I've got it to the point where it works pretty good, but wish I would have opted for the poly straight blade instead. 86lbs doesn't seen like much, but when you take that extra 86lbs and hang it out on a mount 18" out in front of the ranger it puts a lot of additional stress on the front end.
Not to derail, but Grundo how does the plow handle with the a-arms and lift? I am wanting to do roughly the same set up, but with just 28s?

It handles great!...I got home from vacation on Sunday and nothing had been plowed all week. The driveway was drifted shut with 10" of snow. It plowed like a dream:soap:. No issues at all.
