2015 fullsize 570, 120 miles on it. Changing rear diff and this was stuck to magnetic bolt. First time in my life owning a Polaris and first time I ever had to take something back to dealer. Sounds like there maybe gonna extend warranty but have to split rear diff and tranny.

The image I attached is from a 2012 but the internals are very similar to the 2015 microfiche. Looks like maybe it broke off of 43 in the diagram which is the turf mode shift fork.

I think there are two of these pieces on there for turf to diff lock. Dealer tried to stick scope through diff hole but can't get far enough to see if both are in place. Im half tempted to believe this part may have been dropped in when assembled and just grabbed another one because there was no screw stuck to the magnet and the spacer part had no scarring from any kind of screw or anything.

I do not think that is part of item 43 (56 on 2015 fiche) it does not appear to have broken off of anything. Looking at 2015 fiche I can see anything that resembles your misery part. I would have dealer send picture to polaris maybe they can ID and advise if it should be operated.

Just changed the fluids for the first time yesterday on my 2014 xp 900 with 388 miles on it. I was almost sick when I drained the transmission and found this stuck to the magnet about 2 months out of warranty Floor Flooring Hardwood Wood Tile

I called the dealer and they asked if I could bring the parts in for them to identify them. I took the part in and we identified it as one of the pins out of the diff, the service manager explained that there is no way this pin could have come out of place without something breaking . There were no other pieces in the oil when I drained it . He suggested I refill with oil and try it . I did this and tried it up on jack stands , There is something hanging up in there when the wheels first start to turn but then runs free.
This how it looks now Motor vehicle Auto part Engine Vehicle Machine

I will finish pulling the transmission tomorrow. I plan to be at the dealer with it first thing Monday morning see what the owner will do for me . They have a very good reputation so hopefully he will do something for me.A New transmission is $ 3,000 dollars plus taxes. I have no idea where Polaris comes up with their prices. The name POLARIS no longer gives me that warm fuzzy feeling. Starting to think maybe the dealers should pull the diff plugs as part of their PDI before they sell them.

I believe it may be #55 in the diagram.

The dealer showed me same part screen and explained what the part does. Just sucks cuz there is big utv ride in st Helen mi next weekend and hope it's done by then. Found out the diff-tranny is built in Minnesota, not Mexico. At least I can go get on my can am renegade and ride worry free (for now) lol

I'd definitely take it back to the dealer. It may run forever like that without issues, but it's more likely to be a ticking time bomb with a short timer.
