Had my 2013 900 out yesterday on it's first higher speed run on some hard pack and started to get some bad rattling or grinding type noise during deceleration between 15-10 mph, anyone have any ideas, iam wondering if it might be the brake pads hanging up a little? THIS NOISE IS COMMING FROM THE FRONT END!!!

Check and see if you have any mud or stones lodged between your rim and brakes.
How many miles on it?
Any front end mods?
I would jack it up and pull front wheels and check things out for a possible quick fix

Took off front tires and checked things out and found a very sloppy wobbly fitting axles in the front diff, drivers side seems worse than the other, no leakage on either side though. This machine only has 950 miles on it and only plowed with it only one season!!!

Had the same thing happen on my RZR at about 3000 miles (although mine was wobbling so bad that one of the seals had began to leak) and my dealer replaced the front diff' under warranty. Replacing the whole diff' was cheaper than replacing the parts that were actually bad.

Jerry i tore my front axles out today and repacked the splines in the diff and axles and the driver side was definatly the dryer side of the two, but this definatly tightened them back up and i don't hear the grinding vibration anymore, but now i hear a whirling whining sound that i never had before. This is realy starting to piss me off, thats what i realy loved about this thing was the smooth quiet ride, that seems to be changing in a hurry with less than 1000 miles, this thing has been pampered for the most part from me, very little water and mud holes, just got it together the way i wanted last fall too, i think it might be time to JUMP SHIP!!!!

Had the u joints replaced on main driveline to front diff, both ends only showed barely visible play, replaced with oem u joints as the Xp 900 is under warranty and took care of the whirling, whining noise for the next 1000 miles as you described. Will be replacing with quality u joints on the next set
