Several people have inquired about directions, here is my first try. If anyone has anything to add or wants something in more detail feel free to ask.
I like to have the Rangers wheels 4"-6" off the ground. A floor jack to raise either front or rear works just as well.
A 3/4" and 3/8" wrench are used to loosen front struts. Pay close attention to the various spacers under the nut and where they go.
Now to loosen the strut bodies a 1/2 wrench and ratchet. You don't have to take the bolts out, just loose enuff so you can turn-twist the strut body in its housing.
Get your fingers on the strut body through the springs and twist and push it up untill it comes free and pull it to the rear to remove it.
Now drop the strut spacers in for the strut to rest on. The .100" thick washer that was under the spring goes on first then the coil spring spacer.
Put the threaded end of the strut back in at the top and compress the strut so it will clear the coil spacer. Now the strut should be back in its place. Put the nut on top of strut rod on and do not tighten the bolts to the strut body yet. Do the other side and let the jack down so you get weight on the front suspension. Twist the strut bodies to make sure they have bottomed out. Tighten all the bolts back up and you are done with the front.
Trying out 2 different materials if anyone has a preferance let me know.[
