Trying to find a cross refernce to the fuel pump in a 07 Ranger XP 700.
Polaris # 2 520 674
Bosch # F 01R BOS 096

I tried to use the search and it came up with pre 2006 and the 08 but not the 07. I looked at one this morning it was a Bosch 69480 but it was just the pump itself, didn't know if it was the whole assembly or just the pump.

Matt, the post you quoted was from 2009, I do not believe CamoXP is on here anymore.

But here is one that some members have been using, and if Jungleman reads this, he may offer more options.
A new regulator is included.

Greg is spot on......... With Quantum you get a lifetime pump and a new regulator in most cases. You should probably do a search about removing the in tank black canister filter and replacing it with submersible hose and put a 10 micron inline fuel filter after the tank. PRC archives......is where it is at......:) A new pump and new reg will not help you if the black canister is plugged or cracked...and they all do,right about..............now.

Matt, just completed this replacement this weekend following Kris's (Jungleman's) direction and expertise. Ordered all the parts via eBay, fuel pump assembly (including strainer and regulator from Quantum), submersible gas hose to replace the black canister filter and 10 micron in-line fuel filter after the tank. Took about an hour and half as I removed the full tank and gave it a good cleaning (was actually surprising clean considering the dirt environment I run in). I did not replace the regulator as mine was dead on 40 PSI throughout from idle to WOT. Did clean out the regulator though just in case......

I had ordered the set up from eBay back in October as I suspected I may have a fuel pump issue and would be off hunting for several weeks so wanted it just in case. Measured the fuel pressure and was dead on but wanted to go ahead and replace as preventative maintenance (and since my fuel gauge hasn't worked since 2009 and a big thanks to Jungleman for his recommendation for the replacement float as my fuel gauge now works!!). So when I opened that package last weekend I realized that Quantum did not include the strainer in the package so called them and they sent one via FedEx to me and had it mid week. Great company!

For searches in the forum this link works much better than the internal search engine. I think Forde posted it sometime back and it has helped me. Good luck!

Hello-

I have been struggling to replace my 2008 Ranger 700 fuel pump. I did some research and looked through a few threads on this forum. I decided to replace the entire assembly (pump and sending unit) to avoid any other issues if the pump is not the only issue. Unfortunately when I received the new assembly, the mounts did not match (silly mistake on my end) as the connection was the screw on type to the tank versus the 6-torx bolt attachment that my current machine has (photos attached). Do they sell this type of pump assembly on its own (without having to buy the entire fuel tank)? The Polaris part # is 2520674. Auto part Suspension

They do not sell the screw down assembly. They sell the ring lock assembly which is a different creature. In order to get a new assembly for the 07 screw down you have to buy the tank with it. Somewhere around 600 bucks. For various reasons, I have replaced my pump twice and performed the mod to remove the filter canister. The last pump kit I bought had the pump, strainer, regulator and all of the new rubber pieces on the bottom. All of my rubber was soft and wouldn't stay in place. I ordered a filter off of the same page that snapped right in line when you remove the fuel line from the top of the pump.
That vent line will probably break as well. I replace mine and put a used lawn mower fuel filter I had laying around on the end.
Workinonit-

Thanks for the quick response. I appreciate your help and was afraid that you couldn't buy the pump assembly for the screw down type. Maybe I will try to find a used fuel tank with the ring lock and piecemeal this sucker back together and save a few bucks. Thanks again!
I wonder if the 09 fuel tank is the same footprint? I hadn't really thought about doing that. What I did with the mod works fine. One thing to note, the Quantum fuel pump outlet doesn't really have a hose barb on it like the Bosch does so before you slide the pump on you need to put something on to hold the hose on. I used tie wraps. If you don't the fuel pressure will blow the hose right off. Also, when I removed the filter canister, I cut a piece of stainless steel 1/2" tubing to go behind the spring and keep the pump pushed to the bottom of the tank. I cut the tubing the length of the filter canister. It just takes up the length of the filter so the spring stays loaded.
I just talked to my local Polaris dealer and he confirmed what you had said - If your fuel pump connects to the tank via 6 torx screws, you need to buy the entire tank/pump assembly and quoted $785 plus tax. I asked him about the size of the tank on the 2009 model and he said the physical dimensions of the tank itself did NOT change. So naturally I am thinking I could buy a used 2009 fuel tank (with the ring lock connection for the pump to tank) for less than $100 and a new pump/sending unit for $250 and save $400+. I asked the dealer if there was any changes to the pump/sending unit moving from an early model 2008 to a 2009 (other than the mounting to the tank). He said "you could NOT use it, and you must buy the tank/pump combo". I am skeptical. Has anyone tried this? Is there really any difference between the fuel pumps (my unit being a Polaris #2520674 and the replacement Polaris #2204306)?
That's interesting. I doubt the fuel pumps are different but they could be. Maybe the fuel sending unit is different. I think the fuel pressure is the same for those year models. Regardless, whatever is different you could change it out with the correct item.
Pumps NOT different. The 2006 takes the identical pump as a 2009......... and a 2010... The tank size is the same......The only difference is that some assemblies screw down with actual screws and others have a threaded screw collar . this pump and pressure regulator fit 2006-2010....... no matter which assembly hold down you have... ALWAYS remove the round black canister filter above the pump and install a 3" piece of rated SUBMERSIBLE gas line. There are instructions with photos inthe PRC archives.. Fuel Pump Kit QUANTUM HFP-382-P | eBay
Thanks for your input Jungleman. I will find a used tank with a threaded collar and try my luck with the pump assembly that I already bought.... Seems like the most cost effective solution.

I am new to the Forum and really appreciate everyone's help.
www.powersportsnation .com have a BIG stack of gas tanks......... Call them..
Ordered a used tank today, hopefully this works out. Do you recommend changing out the canister filter with the gas line even if the canister is new (with the new fuel pump assembly)?
You will probably have to replace at least one pump before the NEW canister filter plugs/cracks so you could wait until then to change it out.....
Hey Jungleman. Just reporting back as I finally got back to my cabin where the machine is housed. Swapped out the fuel tank old style with the new screw down collar version and installed the new fuel pump. Went pretty easy. It did not solve the problem however. Same issue as before - cranks and cranks but nothing. I am not getting a spark. Replaced the spark plugs and still nothing. I read through a few of the other threads and checked the connection plug on the ECM and ECU and all seem secure. Is it safe to assume that the ECU is bad (that's the small box under the seat on drivers side). I couldn't find any posting on how to test the ECU. I am trying to avoid the dealership, but I don't want to start swapping more parts that I don't need to. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
