Since tops seems to be one of the "must haves" for most on here, lets get a thread started on home mades. Try to post pictures, material, attachment method, cost and how it was made. This should be intresting.....................

500 crew, roof is 10g steel, box braked a 1"tall X for strength corner to corner, brake 1" drip rails full length, brake 6" sun visor @ 40deg. in front with drip rail, rear brake 60deg. 5" with 1"drip.
4ea. 5/16x2" U bolts hold it on with flanged lock nuts.
Camo paint job with local plants.
all the aluminum roofs I see have destroyed edges edge's from tree swipes, not mine it removes bark.

I'm a little embarrassed but sometimes all ya need is a little shade for you and your buddy. 2 pieces of 2" ABS some shade cloth and eye hooks to tie it down for the front and shade cloth stapled to a frame more eye hooks for the back. $10

I built mine very similar ,I used A Camo,Tarp,,The Feist Squirrel Dogs like it,,I have stuck A Tree a Limb ,thru mine ,A few times,,A needle A Piece of Fishing line,,no problem.

From the Signatures,,,
There some Traveling men here,,It's A Rough road when you travel from the West to the East,,Ain't Men,,,,LOL

1/8" aluminum diamond plate. I left it polished on top, and painted front, back and inside black. Also installed a headliner.

Man, I wonder if I can afford a top like that with all the money I saved on mine... 1/4" poly, bent with heat and patience, sealed up with 1/4" weather stripping and black caulk. Supported in the front with 1/4" "L" channel with 8 large rivets. I need to fill a couple bolt holes yet, but it's otherwise water tight and looks good enough for me.
