Hood Strap for Ranger 400
When I go to open hood ( after popping the rubber straps ) , it twists and binds when I lift it, especially since I've added weight to it with storage box fastened underneath.
While I was staring at the wall thinking about this "unintended consequences "issue, I saw one omy my good old dog collars hanging there. Not to be one to spend a nickel if not absolutely necessary, I made a grab handle from the collar, and am happy to say hood lifts easily , no twisting .
Mine is what I had on hand, good dogs wore that collar, good memories every time I see it.
Cut to length , make sure there is clearance under hood for fasteners !
