Our dog thinks the Ranger is HERS and we are merely her drivers. If it's just the driver and her, she sets on her butt with front feet between her legs for stability. I can't say I have never lost her off of the front seat but she's learned to pay attention and quit shopping for squirrels in the trees when on rocky trails. When she does get in trouble for bailing after squirrels, I put her in the backseat and use the safety belt run through her collar to make sure she stays on the machine. The bed seems to get too hot on her paws, so will be adding something to stop some of that. I suppose you could add a soft harness and run the seat belt through the back of that too. Country dogs will survive though. LOL
