I was wondering how do I check the error codes on my 2009 Ranger HD? I was riding tonight and the power steering starting going in and out, the speedometer started jumping up from my speed to like 40 mph and back. Plus, one of my headlights wouldn't stay on. Sounds like a short to me or may a fuse needs switching.

What do you think? Anyone else had this happen to them. I noticed it started doing it after I turned my HID dummy lights on along with my HID headlights. I did this all on one battery. After a few minutes of this, I got out turned my aux switch on to my other battery, didn't help. Maybe a fuse? maybe a short? When I find out to read error codes, will this show up?

Thanks in advance for all the advice.

You may have a ground/connection issue.

How to read blink codes.
Turn your ignition on and off three times, leaving it on the third time. It will blink 2 codes (example: 5 blinks = 5, and 1 blink = 1, to read 51)
