Terminal housings are optional; they allow you to plug/unplug a switch all at once without having to worry about getting the wires on the proper tab on the switch. Handy if you have a lot of wires going to a switch. I think Polaris uses them on their OEM switches. Most of us do not use them, instead, we put a 1/4" female quick disconnect on the end of the wires going to the switches instead. If you do use them, you will also need a Weatherpack-type crimper and special terminals for the gauge wire you are going to use. As far as wiring the switches, will need to know which switch you are going to use (and for what).
