Hypothetical question

Here is a question for everyone. If Polaris came out with a Ranger 1000 xp next year or a redesign, who would trade in or sell their current 900? The reason I'm asking is because I have a 2013 900 eps with full cab, winch, and plow. But I still want to add factory heater and radio, but don't want to spend the money if there is a new and bigger ranger coming out next year.

I think for my use ,,I don't even need the power of the 900 ,but its nice to know its there ,im all about the smoothness and qiet, I just got mine like a month ago so ill problably hold onto it for a few years anyways
Since I currently have a 2 month old 2015 Ranger 900 EPS, Polaris would have to really bring it for me to consider trading. I'm talking something like a Highlifter Edition Ranger 1000 with OEM snorkels, gear reduction, beefy reverse chain, and at least 85hp sitting on top of 28"+ tires. I'm not opposed to spending the coin this kind of ride would cost because my wheelers go that direction as soon as they roll off the showroom. If I could buy one all ready to go from day one, I might be tempted.

But as it sits, the 2015 Ranger 900 is a nice, smooth riding, quiet, and powerful machine.
Mine has been absolutely flawless from day one, but in the back of my mind I know if they come out with a 1000 I will be tempted. Then on the other hand I should just stay satisfied with the one I got because it's been perfect. I am glad there is this forum cause this ranger talk drives my wife crazy.

You don't have to worry until July/August of 2016. They usually release the new designs every four years.
I would definitely like to see the 1000 Ranger, but it would have to be a better designed machine. I have spent a lot of money getting my 900 the way I want it.
I don't see it happening when the current 900 doesn't make anywhere near its horsepower potential.
This^^^^^^^
The 900 has definitely enough power for me, I just like newest and greatest. I was like that with cars when I was younger, but now it has switched to rangers.
Would be my luck, I bought a 800 just to have the 900 come out a few months later. I waited till now to buy the 900 so I'm sure something better will be out soon enough.
im a idiot i always have to have the newest stuff out
The next Ranger I see myself buying would be a crew, I have my "old" 800 how I want it and plan on keeping it for a long time. Next on my list will be a RZR 1000 then maybe a 1000 Ranger crew a few years later?
I saw a rzr 900 beat a rzr 1000 last weekend. I hear good things about the rzr 900 and I see some already selling their 1000's for whatever reason. So, translate that over to the Ranger 1000 and 900, just because it is newer and bigger does not mean it will perform that much better. Just my observation and seeing what folks are doing.
I have too much time and money in my 900 to get a 1000 if it came out next year... but maybe 3-4 years down the road I would get one
I'll probably be looking at buying a Crew here soon. My 2010 XP 800 is paid off and runs like a top but I need the additional room for our hunting trips.
Wouldn't it be cool if Polaris came out with a club-cab. A little bigger than the current 900 but smaller than the crew.
That would be a neat idea, cubcadet had a prototype version clubcab a few years back that never materialized, yea a little more enclosed area would be nice for hunting gear and the like.I like alot of other people have alot of money in mine, it would have to be something special for me to even think about a new one right now, i still love my 13 le eps. But if anyone could or would pullit off it will be POLARIS, they have gained alot of my rescpet with 900series xps, if they did build a new one i would like to see a 3cyl. engine this time, and develope an even more quieter engine bay, maybe by starting to use some type of insulated type panels, for me the smoothness and quietness is were it's at without resorting to electric. POLARIS IF YOU BUILD IT THEY WILL COME!!!!
Like the 3cyl Mule I tried out,,,quiet ....smooth running. But tank heavy. Stick that engine in a Ranger. I'm not sure of the HP...Polaris made a lot of sleds with 3 cyl's , maybe that's the next 'big thing'...
Stainlessman, ezactly the motor i'am thinking about, i allso tryed that machine out and loved the quietness and smoothness of it, but much perfer my ranger to it evry way else, that motor in the new mule is a chinese made motor too, hard to believe kawasaki used it. I would sure like to see polaris use one of there own triples in one!!!!
likely not. 1000cc engine + standard power steering + equipting it to what my current ranger is would cost WAYYYY to much...

i'll stick with my 2013 orange madness sans power steering!

you guys know that inline 3 is a chinese cherry car engine right? Gator uses it as well in the big gas machine
I have my 14 900 browning and plan on keeping her for a long time. Like someone said, newer is not always better and also, the cost of the machines and accessories will keep me from the temptation of getting the "newer" one (as long as my 900 don't give me problems- knock on wood LOL"
