How do I adjust belt deflection? I just destroyed another belt, motor mounts are good, so I took a quick look at my deflection. It looks like it's at about 2.5-3 inches. I have the roller secondary clutch.

WOW sounds like alot of deflection. I was thinking the deflection should only be about 1 1/8" - 1 1/4".

Yeah, I know, I don't know how much adjustment there is, but I have a feeling I'm going to need it all.

From what ive experience myself i have bougth 3 belts polaris, dragon fire and deyco. My original belt was 41 1/4 long, the second factory belt was 41 1/2 long, the dragon fire belt was 39 3/4 long and the last belt i bought was from bikeman performance and its was 41 1/4. The 41 1/4 belt gave me a perfect belt deflection of 1 1/8" the only way you can adj. for belt deflection is by removing or installing spacers in the secondary clutch and you can only do this in a roller clutch. Check your belt dia by running a tape around the outside dia. and try to get a belt that is 41 1/4 long. Call Dale at bikeman he can help.

I'll try to have my wife take a couple of pictures, it basically snapped in half while driving on the street. No warning, nothing, just kaboom! The first one gave some warning signs, funny noises, hard shifting, this one nothing. I'm in California now, so I'll have to see if the wife can snap a few pics.
