Had a great weekend with my Ranger, up in the mountains, about 7000 ft. Brought it back down in the Valley and the Gas Tank Sucked in bad. It bent the support bracket for the side.
Should'nt it had done a better job of venting, to prevent this from happening?

Our vent tube was clogged and did the same thing. Dan unclogged the tube and used an air compressor to blow the gas tank back to where it belongs.

Thanks, I'll have to look for that bugger. I had thought of the compressed air, and had visions of blowing it up, but I'll give it a try.

Hello Hooker,
They say that it can be bad because most fuel pumps use the fuel to keep cool. If you run it low it can overheat the pump causing it to fail over time. The other issue that has been brought up is that it allows the pump to pick up the trash from the bottom of the tank that naturally occurs over time.
