This hasn't been publicly released yet but i suspect it will be. There is going to be an updated clutch/locking mechanism for the RZR. Polaris was aware that there was the possibility for a problem and redesigned the clutch. Looks like my RZR will be the first production model with the new assembly(unless they switched mid production), since my was first to break. Parts are being overnighted and i should be running again tomorrow in time for my trip. Not sure if this will lead to a Recall.

Nice work...make sure to let us know what the new part # is when you get it. Was it in the primary or the secondary?

Probably so, since the secondary is a tried and true Team Secondary.

Cody, nice work on the info keep on asking them for any new part number, do all the RZR have the same clutch/locking mechanism now and do we need to let our dealer know about an updated clutch/locking mechanism before we pic it up, please provide us with if any a new part number as Chris stated, thanks ;-)

I would assume that all the RZRs that are shiped or delivered will need this then. hopefully polaris will update all of these free of charge if it is an update. I am starting to be glad that I am number three on the list, and not first. How are we going to know if our RZRs allready have the new clutch or not?

UPDATE!!!!!

Apparently the early production units had a Plastic clutch retainer(i'm not sure of its technical name) and it should have been replaced with a steel one. Polaris is overnighting be a new clutch and belt.

A short update about this topic.

So far it seems as though my RZR is the only one to be affected by the loose clutch. It appears to be a fluke even though the condition did reoccur on Saturday. The new clutch and belt are going on today so i will update you guys when i get the Rzr back
