I was wondering a dealer told me that the frame is the same for both but the capacity and trailer specs are higher for the 700, e.g. 1000 for 500 1500 for the 700, trailer 1500 500 and 1750 for the 700. I would guess they are the same but the higher capacity for the 700 is just a result of more horsepower.

I didn't see a difference. If it was me, get the 500 and save the money. Took my out and called dad to meet us out in the dirt. We raced them, with the small MOD I did, I beat him by 3/4 of a Ranger! Top speed was 41 he said for me. Once I hit it, I had no more, and he would pull ahead to 49.

The 700's just have more room for power improvements if you want to do it.

I think your dealer needs to check those numbers again. I think he is quoting you the figures for the 4X4 vs. the 6X6. I think the numbers for the 500 and 700 are the same. Someone double check me on that.
