Haha when I saw these pictures all I could imagine was you finishing the lift, taking the first set of pictures, then immediately driving into that creek to get stuck! The bike looks good though.

that's exactly what I did lmao and my wife just shook her head
That's too funny, sounds like something I'd do. Do you have any other plans for it?

Just tell the wife you were out looking for the Easter Bunny and heard he may be on the other side of the creek. Does look like the kids enjoyed the adventure, all looks great.

Curious if you will need to upgrade your axles over stock. I am considering a 2-3" lift on my 2013 800 Crew but am concerned it may put alot of stress on the CV joints in my axles due to the increase in angle to axle ... Thoughts?

Dave,

I've seen great success with 2-3" lifts here on the forum. In my experience, the issues become amplified when you couple it to large wheels and excessive strain, such as deep mud, etc.

Rule of thumb, 2" OK, 3" marginal--harsh riding environments (e.g. mud) increases chances of breakage, 3+" start shopping for replacement axels. Any lift plus larger, heavier aggressive tires increases the chances of breakage of not only axels but front diffs and trannnys.

Big difference between the 800 and 900 in how they are built and the suspension. I'd say with 2" max on the older 800s. I just used SATV forward A-Arms and my outer shock holes to clear 29.5s on my 2011 800 crew.
