Ok...New to the forum. I have read all the talk on lifts. I have stock 2014 Ranger 900 XP. So with all the different opinions on droop, axles, etc. I just recently purchased some slightly uses 29.5 original Outlaws....what is the minimum lift or the best way to go without changing axles and putting undue stress on them with these tires?

Forward arms and a 2" plus lift should clear those with no rub. There won't be much (if any) angle stress on the axles with this setup, however the Outaws can still break axles when they grab a root or whatever. If your username is an accurate reflection of your mud driving habits, I suggest you go ahead and order some beefed up axles . :)

You can clear 29.5s with just forward a arms. No lift needed

Thanx there Cowpen...that's kinda what I had in mind from all I have read. I have read and measured since my original post and with 29.5 on forward A arms only with wheels turned all the way they will rub the stock bumper/brushgaurd.

That's what I recall reading as well. Jayce and Jerry may be technically correct about minimal mods needed to clear, but I read somewhere that they'll rub with forward arms only unless you move your shocks out and crank them up. I think you'll ride a lot better with a small lift and soft spring settings. Keep us posted how it works out...

.......minimal mods needed to clear,.....
Yeah, I typically recommend the minimum. Around here, there's a lot off very off-camber situations and keeping your C.O.G. as low as possible is important. Having additional lift probably has much less detrimental affects in flatter terrain such as FL and LA.
