Has anyone mounted lights to the vertical steel just behind the opening on the stock bumper? It would be on either side of where the winch sits. The lights would shine through the space created by the upper and lower bumper. They would be protected when hitting small trees. Thinking this would be a good spot. Would this work?

Did it mount to the round bar or the flat steel with a drilled hole and a single bolt? I am thinking about drilling a hole to mount to.

They are very bright. The part number is Hella ff50. I also bought the lexan light covers for them. The brackets are made by piaa. I got them off of ebay. The only problem I had on the istall if you look at the last picture I had to have the clamp slightly pushing up on the black plastic part of the hood. Hood still closes fine but have to manuver it a little to get it past the back lip.
