Whacked this ol' boy in the second weekend of the Missouri hunting season. Weighed in at 22 lbs., had a +10" beard and 1 1/4" spurs. Coolest part of this hunt was the use of my new "Pretty Boy" decoy. This turkey sprinted 100 yards without stopping to whip up on Pretty Boy. When he got there, he jumped up and spurred the decoy, knocking it off the peg. Now, with Pretty Boy now laying on his hard, plastic side, this bully head smacked my decoy with his beak. It was at that point that this turkey developed a splitting headache and become yet another dead thing to grace the OlDukmobile.
I've also had the luck this season to dispatch a couple of other turkeys in Kansas with Pretty Boy as well. Both of them ran to the decoy like their life depended on it (which, unfortunately for the birds, it did). I'm usually not one to recommend stuff, but IMO that decoy does what the Roboduck did for duck hunting. It's a serious decoy.
