We had a small gathering in Moab, UT this last week. There were five Rangers and one Rhino. We met some new friends and had a great time riding and exploring the area. We road seven to eight hours a day for three days. I think the biggest challenge was Wednesday afternoon when we endoured a terrible sand storm, visibility was down to about half mile.

Unfortunately, my camera was not performing very well, so I will only post one picture of the group. I'll try to get the IDs correct from right to left: Ron and Dennis, Ken and Kevin, Vic and Char, greg and Kathryn, John and Linda, Me (Joe).

The biggest challenge for me was driving home on Friday in the thousand mile per hour wind. There were times when I was driving in third gear just to keep moving. I guess the wind was steady at around 45 mph with gusts up to 60. That plus the hills kicked my butt. My little Chevy S-10 did very well under the circumstances.

Maybe some of the others will add a picture or two.

What trails did you guys do? I'm dying to get back out there, headed out for Easter Safari in March and had a medical melt down 75 miles from my house. First time in 19 years I've missed a Jeep Safari.

I was supposed to gun Gold bar and Poison Spider with Tim Berry again this year. I led Behind the Rocks for many years, that would be a pretty good trail for Rangers except for maybe White knuckle hill, that could get exciting in a short wheelbase vehicle.

Awesome where did you all ride? My family and I just spent 5 days in moab. We had 4 rangers and a few 4 wheelers. We rode steel bender, fins and things, hells revenge and behind the rocks we had an amazing time. We camped out by behind the rocks and the weather was awesome except for a little rain on sat morning.

Hi Chris,

Yes, we stayed at Archview. We like it because you can get to a lot of trails right out of the RV Park without trailering our Rangers. [:)]Their WiFi sucks, and they shifted me from one space to another once like they did to me last year.[}:)] They are pretty laid back there, but all we needed was a space to park. [:D] The park has a great setting facing the West end of Arches National Park.[:)]
