What was, if any, the solution to Polaris's bad motor mount? Did anybody come up with a better solution to their mount? Thanks in advance--Rob.

Rob,
I think the best solution would be to make a dual mount like others have done and use 61 Falcon mounts. I know if I had an XP that's what I would do.
Polaris has changed the mount now with a new improved version but it's still single.

Look here for a great fix http://www.prcforum.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=519

I just changed my motor mount to the 61 ford falcon mount from Napa. My original wasn't broke but I decided not to take a chance so I replaced it with the Napa mount. Just had my 30 hour service done a week ago and everything was perfect. the double mount isn't a bad idea if you have the ability to make one but replacing the original gave me some piece of mind.

Rob, the only thing I've been told by Polaris is that they have the utmost confidence that the motor mounts that are being produced now will not cause the issues the old ones did.

I purchased the new XP belt and white spring two weekends ago at the Polaris dealer in Lake Havasu City. I asked the service guy about the problems I've been reading on the boards. He told me there are some alignment issues that he has fixed by shimming the engine mount(s) and thus keeping the clutches aligned. When my parts come in, I will have the alignment and installation done and report on any performance gains.

Does this motor mount problem effect the 2007, 500cc EFI or only the EX's????

The XP's only as far as we know, but I would assume the 700 6x6's also. You should be OK with your 500 though, I don't recall ever hearing about a mount breaking on them.

Thank you for the information. Hope most people get theirs change before the belt problem begins.
