Wow, talk about diggin back a ways, that post is almost 3 years old.
The 05's only have a sending unit in the tank, but no gauge, so I tied into the existing sending unit.

orry Todd, I saw the post under yours only  There is a place to tie into the oil system just above the oild filter on the jug, the water temp i tied into the split line on the drivers side under the floorboard, but quadovator makes a nice Thermostat housing that you can install the sending unit in, and the voltage gauge you just tie into the electrical system where you would tie into for accessories.

Is there any chance you could post a picture of where you tie into the existing sending unit?

Thanks.
I don't have a pic ( I sold my 05) but, The sending unit connection on the back of the gauge connects to the purple wire with the white stripe under the dash. This wire runs to the sending unit in the gas tank. This is for 05's ONLY.

Its been a while since I had a gauge, but as I remember it when its cold it never went over 60 psi, and when warm it it was more like 20.
