Polaris has released a new belt, supposedly trying to fix the poor performance of the last one. That is all I know at this point.

My stealer said they had them in stock now. I am going to pick one up as soon as my white spring and washers get there.

I just got off the phone with a dealer and asked him about this belt. He said the part number actually has an extra #1 in it. He found it and it's 3211118. Retail on it is $88.19 + tax. I'm curious to see how this belt does so I'm looking forward to hearing a report from Commander. I'm sure one of our sponsors can get us a better deal on one.

Yes I got new belt #3211118 today from my dealer.

And here's some pictures/ of it with a xp belt.
I only have xp belt with about 4 hrs on it to compare to.
The new belt is 1/16 thicker and half of 1/16 wider and looks about same length but looks more stronger.

I put staight edge across my clutch pulleys and with belt free and measured the play with xp belt 1 1/4.

Then I put new belt #3211118 on it went on real hard after on I measured off straight edge from across my clutch pulleys and measured the play it was 1 1/2.
Go figure !!

I do have white spring installed in my clutch/ from when I had put SP belt on. No washer though.

The Ranger now shifts hard just like when I installed SP belt before my motor mount was replaced, dealer put xp back on.

I won't get lots of seat time till Friday.
I drove up and down road and back forth in drive still hard to shift.
Well like I said after Friday I'll tell more, here's picture's of #3211118 with #3211106.

It looks like to me that the new belt probably shifts harder primarily because it's deeper lugs provide from friction, essentially less slippage, hopefully. I'm assuming that the small inside part of the new belt is narrower in width than the stock XP belt, right? If not, then that's where the increased shift stiffness is coming from.

Are you talking the outer width or the outer to inner depth?
