Here are my observations on the white spring mod on my '07 700 XP. Higher rpm engagement; no noticable difference in bottom end, mid range, or top end. Top end on flat surface aprox 40 MPH with or without white spring, up slight grade 30 MPH with or without white spring.

Down side:
You have to rap it up higher to engage it.
It disengages sooner (worse engine braking).

I know the '07's are geared a little different than the older ones. What are some of you guys with '07's seeing with your white spring mod? Maybe I am missing something [:(]

IF you kept the stock belt, add the washer. It will reduce the rpm's needed to engage a bit.
You are only getting 40 mph top end? Is that per the speedo or GPS? Either way that seems low. I've hit 45 mph (speedo) with a windshield, before I run out of road. I'm taking the windshield off this weekend and am going to check top end (speedo and GPS).
40mph seems awful slow, mine has run a true 50mph on the gps on level pavement with windshield, back seat, cooler rack with 2 full coolers, 2 adults, and 2 kids. I don't have any engine mods.
I have also hit 50 with a windshied. With 2 full grown people.
I just picked up my spring and sp belt today. I will let you know what I find out.
both you guys seem to be running stock 26" tires. i have the white spring along with the bikeman secondary and belt, around 42 mph @ 5100 rpm is what my speedo reads. and of course thats wrong because of the increased tire size (28"). so your numbers sound about right to me.
With the white spring and new Polaris XP belt I hit 46-47(speedo) on level ground.
I guess you guys probably don't want to hear that according to my GPS I hit over 600, thats right six hundred miles per hour in my Ranger in less that 200 yards with four turns. I think it was lying but it is an electrical device and they never make a mistakee, do they?
Take that thing back to the dealer if your only getting 40 MPH out of it.

I agree. Mine has NO motor mod's and will hit 50 on level ground....53 or so down a hill. That's with 28" Bighorns.
I hit 50-53+ easily according to the speedometer and the bugs in my teeth.
Question for Scottginfla. How do you like your secondary cluch mod? I just ordered one.
I recently put in the new 3211118 belt, White spring, & RU-1770 K&N air filter. I noticed the higher RPM to engage, not sure if I like it or not. It will still do the same top speed of 50.
To compare, I drag raced a buddies stock XP that is within a couple of hours of use. Repeatedly, I would get him off the line and hold a lead for a while and then he would take me on the top end.
Seems you loose top end to get speed at low end.
i love the team secondary and wider bikeman belt, big difference in engagement and you get the rpm's faster, i also put in the white spring at the same time, (no washer) . i think you will like it, make sure you align the belt.
I do have the new xp belt but other than that I think everything else is in my sig. I know the 28" tires take quite a bit of power. That is why I decided to put the white spring in to see if I could regain any of the lost power, but I didn't see a difference, so I came to the best place I could think of for advice. Thanks, Mike.
Something doesn't seem right, the white spring definetly helps most of us with low end some. I'm not sure that it really does anything for the high end. The truth is the 28" tires do suck the power, and the 07's have an even higher gear which would only make it worse. The only way to really make a differnce is to do bigger mods like the cam and ECU.
I installed the white spring and sp belt on my 2005 XP. Can't comment on any gains since I just bought it and it hasn't seen the trail yet. 26" ITP mudlites are plenty big enough. Any bigger and I think trail riding would suffer. Previous owner had them on stock rims and they were rubbing the tie-rod boots. Installed Vision wheels that have a slight offset. Also installed new A-arms, Thunderhawk A-arm gaurds, ball joints, tie-rod ends, 2" rubberdown lift. I am used to riding ATv's, I think the biggest change will be getting used to the clearance needed for the roll cage. Taking a trip to Maine in a couple weeks, I'll see how things work. Jerry

That is kind of what I am thinking, but I don't think anybody has had any luck yet with either mod on an '07. I know there has been a couple people try them, but the only one I can think of right off is Adam12.
Greg (adam12) had good luck with his, the only downside is you can't unlock the rear end, although a conversation with Dale at bikeman would be a good idea. He has several good parts for the 07's. Robert Brazier also modded his 07 and he said it runs well.
Thanks for the info Curt. Let the e-mails start flying. Anybody know how to get in touch with Robert Brazier? In the mean time I will contact Dale at Bikeman.
