Oil change (yeep)

Yeah not to beat a dead horse with the oil change thing but screw it, it's dangerously cold here and I want to make sure I got what I need before going somewhere where it's even colder. Talking like -40 with windchill here :distress:

I am going to the arctic tundra tomorrow to change my oil for the first time (doing it myself).

Here's what I have-

*Mobil 1 M1-110 oil filter
*3 quarts of Mobil 1 0w40 oil
*toolbox full of sockets and wrenches

Am I good? Any other advice for first time oil changes?

Is using Polaris alternatives going to void my extended warranty? I hear some people say it will according even to the owner's manual (which I admittedly haven't checked) and other people swear up and down that legally Polaris cannot use that against you for warranty work.

I own a 2013 900xp Ranger btw just to verify.

Thanks a lot ya'll!

Make sure you have metric allen wrenches. You need a 6 or 8mm (can't remember which) for the drain plug.

Ah yes, thanks for that. I have some but that would be an easy thing for someone to not think of.
