I just recently purchased a 2015 900 XP. It is still at the dealership at this time in Tifton and I am supposedly on the "list" at outkast per the saleman. I had told the salesman that I wanted my ranger by March 15th so that I would have it for a big ride we have planned. Now after reading some of the horror stories as far as time through Outkast I'm really worried if I will have it back in time. I'm also noticing that if I was to buy a super atv lift and put it on myself I would be saving $1000 and the kit includes shocks and steering stoppers that the outkast does not. Since I'm paying for lift with cash I'm wondering if I should go this route or just trust that Outkast will have it ready? They have replied to my emails and phone calls except for when I asked a possible time frame. The lady on the phone said 7 to 10 days on their part so my question is is the outkast lift really worth 1000 dollars more? If not I may have time to catch them before they start the build and possibly go another route. May sound a little selfish to change now that I am on the "list" at oukast but this ain't daddys money. I earned it and wanna make sure its goin where it needs to be. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Personally, I would focus on the ride and run the unit stock for a while to see if there are any issues with the unit before major alterations. I assume you specifically wanted this kit for a particular reason and expecting to do many upgrades along with a 5” lift such as axles, springs, tires, etc? Chances are given that level of modification, the “warranty” portion may be challenged by the dealership, assuming you were to have a problem during the first 6 months, but that’s a dealers call and something you might have already considered. As for the lift, I would be patience and get what you want and not short sell yourself.

I looked into both of these lifts and I decided to go with superatvs forward a arms and 30" roctanes but I would go with the superatvs 6" lift over outkast its a complete package and a lot less money and they stand by there product

I don't have any experience with Outkast but I do have the SATV 6" kit on a 2015 Ranger 900 crew.

Sounds like you have decided on Outkast and worried about a delivery date. If you are in a time crunch, might want to verify availability.

If it were me I would wait and put a few hours on the machine before any major modifications.

Just in case.

I agree that if the dealership puts it on they will be more liable for problems for the factory warranty. To be completely honest my days of muddin are over. Ive rebuilt top ends all I want!! This actually is jus for me and my wife to cruise around on and watch our kids have fun. Lift and tires may seem a lil excessive for this but its completely for looks and jus somethin extra for me to be proud of. I personally do not like the way the units look stock but I wanted somethin for work and fun. Both kits come with rhino axles. To sum it up I'm goin in ol man mode but jus gonna look pretty doin it. Lol.

Maybe I should be patient and jus take the unit stock for the first ride just in case. Yes I had my mind on outkast beacuse I haven't heard one word bad about their lifts other than receiving time but all of that was during the summer when swamped. Not to mention outkast is 2miles down the road from the dealership and they back all their work as well. Really never looked into the superatv until yesterday. The price difference and extras caught my eye and have me wondering if I made the right decision or not.

When I was shopping for a lift kit I researched until my eyes went blurry.

My friends kept telling me to go with the SATV 6 as that is what they are running and had no problems plus it came with everything you needed.

Looked at and drove their Rangers with the kit and well................

Looks good JTR! What size terms are you running? Any scrubbing issues? Crazy that the 29.5s and 32s weigh more than the 33s and 34s. Still undecided.
Running 29" Terminators. No rubbing. Plenty of clearance.

Yea, it's crazy the 29's weigh more than the 33's.

I wanted to keep the rotational mass down as much as possible and not effect the gear ratio too much for pulling trailers.

So, I have bought 4 polaris' from the same dealership in tifton in the past 14 months. In all 3 deals they delivered when they said they would, so I fully trust white they say. I got them to get me the 3 in outkast kit & they did it in very short order. I have been supper happy with the kit.

If they are promising a date, then get them to put it in writing that if you don't have it on X, then it's 30% off.

How much wider is the satv 6" compared to stock. I'm at 65" with there 2" lift and foward a-arm kit. That's with 1" wheel spacers and rims on 30" silverbacks

From the website (thank you Google):

Tech Talk

6" Lengthened Wheel Base
7" additional width per side
Clears 34" tires
High Clearance A-Arms
Utilizes factory rear sway bar
Maintains factory alignment
