Had to tow a buddy's ranger out of the woods yesterday and my ranger started overheating. When it was overheating it started spitting and sputtering a little. I shut it down to let it cool off for a while. It quit sputtering after it cooled down and seemed fine. Is there anything I need to go thru to make sure I didn't mess anything up? That's the first time that it's happened and I've pulled a lot of people out of the woods including a truck one time. Thanks.

Check your radiator. Clean it good with a hose. If the find get packed with dirt it will overheat. I'm assuming it went I to limp mode??

Yea it seems to be. I guess it was just all the drag on the motor from pulling the other ranger thru all the mud. Had a small amount of mud on the radiator just didn't seem to be enough to be the problem and it was only about 63 degrees yesterday when it happened.

I've had the same thing happen when my radiator had about 10% not clogged with mud
Temp got up to 250 or so and went into limp mode
