2012 crew overheating. If its sitting still the fan comes on at 205 and shuts off at 196 . While driving in low range the temp goes up between 206 - 210, and sometimes as high as 215. If i stop within a few min it cools down to 196 and the fan shuts off. I have washed the radiator several times and straightened a bunch of fins out. Could it need the fluid changed ? Thermostat ?

Those temps dont sound too out of line and the fan operation sounds about right...are you getting a temp light on your gauge?

If it is higher than what has been 'normal' for your machine hows the coolant level?

In my experience the fan does come on when at 205/206, but it runs and brings it down to 175/180, so the stopping point see too quick to me.

Those temps are right in line with those on my 800.

Fan should kick on at 205 and off at 195 on the 800s.

On occasion I'll see mine climb to 210, but usually never higher unless my radiator is plugged.

The dirt where I live will almost turn into cement when mixed with water. then it becomes impossible to clean it from the radiator. so, I only used compressed air and that has worked great for years now.

Do you have a bunch of accessories hanging off of the front of your crew? such as winch, or bumper? that will make a difference in airflow to the radiator.

Not that I trust a Po gauge but I am thinking you either have air in a closed cooling loop that needs to be bled off or the self resetting circuit breaker for the fan is defective and is not always allowing a complete cycle.

I was wondering that too Kris, an air pocket could cause some heating problems as well. Not sure if the 800s have a bleeder screw on the t-stat housing like the old 700s did? or just the screw that's on the head?

The bleeder screw is on the right side of the head .

Could be something as simple as a bad radiator cap. Have you checked for air yet ?

Finally had a day off to work on it. I checked for air in the system, lots of bubbles coming from the radiator. Bled the system and it made a world of difference . Now when it gets to 205 it only takes about 30 seconds to cool down and the fan turn off where it used to take about 4-5 min. thanks guys for the help.
