I went and picked up my white spring # 7041132, the new belt # 3211118, and the washers # 7556804. Now I am more confused than I was before because the washer # 755604 has an i.d. of 1 1/2" and an o.d. of 2". On the fische that the stealer showed me it looks like the washers go between the two halves of the clutch. Did I get the wrong washers, because the info on the Important parts information for rangers page http://www.prcforum.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=35that Carnivore did (by the way thanks Carnivore, lots of usefull info there) it says that the washer should be 7/16" X 1 1/2" X 1/8". Also the post by Hoseclamp on Primary spring change, http://www.prcforum.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=39 he put an extra washer out on the center bolt. Which one do I need to do the "spring & washer" switch. Sorry so long, just want to make sure I got all the right pieces before tearing down. Thanks, Mike

Mike, first off after reading the new info today on the new XP belt I suspect you won't need the washer. Commander said his is hard to shift with the new belt, so I would hold off on the washer. The Polaris washer part # was supplied by polarisguy, unfortuately I haven't seen that part, but if it has an I.D. of 1 1/2" that is too big. Please doublecheck to make sure they gave you the right part, if they did I will remove that part #.

I just looked on the Polaris parts Microfiche, you are right, this washer will not work in the way we intended, I will modify the parts post. If you need the washer after trying the new belt use the hardware washer.

Ok thanks for the info. also I wanted to save anybody else the headache when they went to do this mod. We did double check the part #'s and looked at the fishe and washers match the part #. I think we are getting on the right track, I will go get the hardware washer just incase. Thanks again, Mike
P.S. I have 2 extra primary clutch washers if anybody needs them.
