I have something crazy going on with the Ranger. It is hard to steer and the rear tires seem to be hanging up. I can't push it in neutral, but I can drive it a little. Both rear tires tear up the grass when I turn. It seems ok in reverse. Don't know what it is, but I'm glad I'm still on my extended warranty.

I know this sounds too simple, but sometimes my Sportsman 500 will lock in 4wd, and I need to stop, put it in reverse, and while holding the brake, back up a few yards to disengage the 4wd. Have you tried that??

The Ranger is at my dealer, Lakeside Motorsports in Mecosta. I have the extended warranty and Lakeside is very good with their repairs, so hopefully it will work out. I have borrowed another Ranger to keep from going into withdrawal. Dave will make sure they take care of me. They are one of the best dealerships in the State, so my baby is in good hands.

Dave, if you find nothing in the driveline, check alignment next. If the front wheels are starting to go a little east and west when going forward. Possibly some slack in the steering rack.

Lyle, My service technician thinks it is the front diff or a wheel bearing. Definitely something in the front end. Very busy in service right now might not tear it down till end of week. It is boat season in Michigan.
Also very nice to see you on this forum I will keep you posted.
