Hanging from behind the dash and just below the 12v plug recepticle, there is what looks like a 9v plug (like you would find in some 2-way radios). Don't see anything in the manual on it. Anybody have an idea as to what it is for?

Hope this helps but just looked at the CDI box on a Ranger 700 XP because I remember it had that also. Uncle said that is something the Polaris shop uses to power the CDI box for diagnostic he had replaced his CDI box to try to get a little more umph and it didn't work thats why I remember seeing it. It was under the driver seat on the 700 XP Ranger. Might be his educated guess, but seems to be logical.

I also just came across the 9V battery plug while installing my winch. I love when the search button works!!
