Since I installed my Dura two weeks ago...I have not heard a grinding gear...not once. Smooth shifting. Its a whole new ride.

I have owned mine for quite awhile and it has never ground since I've had it. Mine used to grind a lot before the Duraclutch.

Hodad, the grinding on mine totally disappeared. In fact, when going from park to reverse, I often overshoot and go to neutral. There is no resistance in the shift lever. The biggest improvement for us is safety, we have livestock dogs, etc around, I can now move the Ranger very slowly without worry of a surge and running them over.

The Dura will cure the grinding...but so will many other clutch kits.... It isn't the Dura that is fixing the issue, it is getting rid of the stock secondary that is getting rid of the grind, and the Dura kit comes with a different secondary...

In relation to JUST grinding in reverse, IDK if I'd say that the secondary needs to be replaced, at least with my experience on our 900. Mine since new would almost always grind when going into reverse. Added a clutch kit (just weights and springs) and it didn't ever grind after that, NOT ONCE. Now have a clutch kit and a different secondary, and as you'd probably guess its the same result - no grind in reverse.

My biggest issue with the stock secondary was how F'in noisy it was. Its a piss poor cheap design team dreamed up a long time ago that the Polaris bean counters decided to utilize.

Thanks guys that's good to hear. Polaris really should correct that problem and my taxes shouldn't be so high. Don't see any relief from either.Duraclutch is for me when I have 1200 bucks I don't know what to do with.

How is the dura clutch on extended high speed runs say in the 40 to 50 mph neighborhood?
We tend to go on long rides on the weekend. I know that the benefits of the clutch are down low but does it hurt up high?

Tim, what size tires are you running on yours? I am running 26 Inch Big Horns and I can easily hit 60 and that is when the limiter kicks in. 40-50 is a breeze. I saw no change in the top end at all when I installed the Duraclutch.

I think he was referring to low gear. What kind of top speeds in low gear are you getting Roadrunner? I like trail riding and like to utilize low gear as much as possible.
I'm pretty sure he's running 29.5" Terminators.

AK Bandit you are right. I went back and re-read his comments. With the Duraclutch install I hardly use low gear on the trails. So I really don't know how fast I can run in low. The only time I use low is when ascending steep decending hills , rough terrain, etc.

Still waiting on my duraclutch. Should have it in a couple weeks or so. My oe clutch engages at approx 1650 to 1700 rpm and it's kinda jerky. So wouldn't a duraclutch be easier on the axles because it isn't pulsing in and out of engagement like the oe, especially under a load or rock climbing?
