Running a snorkel kit on a ranger 800 I heard it will run lean is this true I see a lot guys use there stock air box I'm running straight off intake with my snorkel the. Using Uni double filters but before I do I just want to see if guys bikes ever ran lean

Just did it to mine, going to mudnats this weekend ill let you know how it goes, butvive also heard the same thing but my giveadamn is busted lol

Removing intake restrictions (like the filter) "could" make it run lean.....but you said you're using double (not sure what you mean by "double") Uni filters, so that shouldn't be a problem.

Run it hard for a few minutes and then check your plugs.

Its definitely possible. I ran the same type of snorkel on my 09 XP and it leaned it out. It was easy for me because I was running a bigger cam and had to run a fuel programmer.

The Uni filters is like a k$n then has that red foam wrap around its water proof so u got double protection it filters fine dust there cheap 19.95 a peace there awesome filters

If anything, id think a adding the snorkel pipe would actually cause it to run richer on fuel, leaner on air... know what i mean?

Well it still has a filter so I don't know why anything would change ur getting more air flow so that should be better and little more power n torqe

I misread your original post, im running my stock airbox i just tuned the intake tube into a snorkel and got rid or the one that ran underneath the ranger.
