Ordered three rzr´s made the down payment since feb I am anxious almost crazy to get them, big bet for rzr [:D]

I am thinking of getting the 14" RIM TIRE SET, 4 SPOKE BRUISER WITH BOUNTY HUNTER TIRES (PART# 2876752 DEALER) this set are the ones on the catalog picture and on the early videos
Does any one had a problem with this?

Are they to heavy?
etc.

They apparently do rub a little. There is a post about it here. Vision based wheels are also pretty heavy compared to ITP, Douglas, etc, but the tires being a non-aggressive type should offset that.

Does anyone know how tall the 26" bounty hunters on 14inch rims measure?

I understand the 14" rims and tires take little performance away due to there size anyone notice.

Rim size has nothing to do with speed, torque or power. It only affects looks and ride quality/tire grip (less sidewall = firmer tire).

What you want to ask is if the increase from stock 25" to 26" makes any difference. Answer: yes, but a 4% change isn't really going to be noticed.

On a sport quad a 2" difference in tire size is quite noticeable. Taller tires will give you more top end but take off some on your bottom end. The same should be true for the Razor. Rim size will make a difference in performance only if there is added weight. The heavier the rims the more weight there is that needs turning which takes away from performance.

Well thats what the guys that race them say must be for a reason. 14 rims are taller that way they rub sometimes more so then 12...

Every 14" tire and wheel combination that I've seen is substantially heavier then the same size tires on 12" rims. Any time you add more weight to the wheels and tires you will get reduced acceleration. You will also be adding unsprung weight which will effect handling and ride quality. If you increase the diameter of the tire your effectively giving it a higher gear ratio which will also hurt acceleration. A 4% increase is noticeable if you care about having the best acceleration.

If you run 25" tires on 14" rims there might not be any increase in weight--rubber is heavy, too. If you increase both rim size and tire diameter of course there will be a weight penalty. Still most riders won't notice.

Carefully check the specs of both the tires and rims. You can find a combination that will allow you to run larger tires AND rims and be lighter than stock tires & steel rims. Douglas rims + Mudlites would be a very light combo. Lighter still are the spun aluminum rims but most folks appear to be going for the snazzy looks over the slightly better performance.

When I went from the stock Rhino tires to 26" Goodyear MT/R's on 14" rims the difference in acceleration and the ability to start out in thick mud was night and day. Mud holes that I could go through in high range now had to be negotiated in low range. The acceleration was much slower then stock. The day after I put them on I went out and ordered the Alba engine kit to regain the power. The Goodyear MT/R's are light for a 14" tire. Even with the Alba engine I ended up buying a set of SE Rhino rims off ebay witch maintain the stock width and put some 25" tires on them. The Rhino handles and rides so much better with stock offset rims. That's why I got a set of the Polaris rims that maintain the stock width.

I check specs. carefully and I've never seen a 14" rim and tire combination that is as light as a similar 12" setup. I've never herd of a 25" tire fitting on a 14" rim. If there is such a thing I don't think anyone would put it on their ATV.

I agree if you want looks go 14 but me keeping her light and fast going with stock tire size might just change tires Bighorsn later......The weight kills these thing no matter where its at.

Thanks a lot I was going to buy the 14" but I don’t want to sacrifice performance for looks. So I will stay with the 12”
I also think that the heavier the wheels the harder is for the suspension to carry them up and down so it could affect the responsiveness

I just returned home from riding 87 miles this past weekend in the hills of West Virginia on my RZR. I have the same wheel/tire combo as RZRRider. These tires are just flat out awesome. I conquered mud holes, sandy creek banks, rocky hill climbs, and everything else that got in my way. And not once did I get stuck or even challenged by the terrain.

Buddy of mine has Mud Bitches on his Can AM and actually struggled through some mud that my RZR walked through with no problem. As well as other friends that have Mud Lites on their ATV's. But then again, SxS's rule!

And sacrificing performance/acceleration? If I floor it, it still smokes the tires!!

The all work depends what you want look with a small sacrifice for performance or straight out performance. What ever makes you happy go for it....
